Other Weather dot com is a social weather forecasting website, that allows anyone to participate in weather forecasting and rating. Our goal is to bring the new world of Rich Internet Applications and Social influence to the dynamic and essential world of weather. We believe that by giving everyday people a tool to report the weather, we can achieve more accurate forecasts and deliver a weather forecast experience much more rewarding to the user than through typical channels.
To keep the established weather outlets on their toes, we've got a few tricks up our sleeve. We mashed our application together with Google Maps allowing the user to zoom in and out and see forecasts from around their location using Google's great technology. We added a rating system that allows registered users the chance to rate their favorite forecasts and gave each forecaster their own profile page with an RSS feed and personal weather widget.
